We have been training dancers through our private training programs & Pilates for Dance classes for many years and recognize the benefit of tailoring our repertoire and bringing dancers together. Joe Pilates had a close relationship to the students of Martha Graham and George Balanchine and that greatly influenced the method.  You do not have to be a dancer to do Pilates but the benefits are endless for technique, grace, posture, and power.
It is the ultimate cross training and in our program we focus on:
Stability
Strength
Flexibility
Core connection
Pre-pointe/pointe prep
Fluidity of movement
Injury prevention
Turnout

Ankle and Knee tracking
Extension
Pelvic Stability

We work on fluidity for movements like port de bras and train to strengthen how a dancer needs to move and develop body awareness and control.
InCentre offers small class sizes and instruction from comprehensively trained Pilates teachers with 15+ years Pilates teaching and a background in dance. We provide a positive, encouraging and healthy environment so dancers appreciate, respect and love the body that allows them to perform their craft.

Open to all dancers from all studios, former dancers, and teachers. Must be 12+years and have a waiver on first visit (signed by an adult if under 18) .

WHAT PEOPLE SAY ABOUT OUR WORKSHOPS

“I loved the fresh insight for me into embodying and nurturing my psoas. I never really thought about how much my psoas has done. I have given birth to three children. I also have not thought about the psoas propelling me forward, prior to this workshop. My understanding of the iliopsoas has been much more mechanical. I feel like I am on the tip of an iceberg of understanding and embracing the holy interconnection between me and my body.”
