STUDIO POLICIES

Studio Etiquette

-Our studio is fragrance free to provide a fresh clean breathing environment for all to enjoy.

-We strive to provide a tranquil environment to promote focus and concentration, therefore for your benefit and that of all clients and staff, please refrain from using your cell phone/electronics within the studio and ensure the ringer/sound is off. Photos and video before or after classes are welcome (no other clients or staff included without consent). No filming or recording of any kind during class without prior expressed/written consent from studio and/or anyone present. If the studio wants to film for social media/advertising you may decline or rescind consent at any time.

-Please leave all footwear in the front entrance on the shoe racks or mat provided.

-You are encouraged to wear socks with grip bottoms in the studio for hygiene and safety during classes. We have grip socks available for purchase the studio.

-When you are waiting for your session, please be respectful of those still in class by being quiet and not disruptive. We have benches available on the main floor for sitting. If a mat is free, you are welcome to stretch.

-After class, please wipe down everything you have touched (i.e. equipment), return small props. Cleaner is provided if you like to use prior to class as well.

-You are encouraged to bring water in a closed container to class. (we do not have water available other than tap) No food allowed in or around equipment.

-Please do not bring valuables to the studio and keep your belongings within eyesight as we are not responsible for lost or stolen articles.

-If you are ill, please stay home, take care of yourself and reschedule your session.

-Clients are welcome to park in any of the parking stalls (right in front of the studio if available, please park within the lines).

-We have invested in an on-line booking system in order for you to be able to modify your schedule on occasion. We are a small boutique studio and do not have receptionist for bookings and payment. If at all possible, please try to utilize this system. If it is not possible or you are having difficulties we are happy to assist if you.

-We understand busy schedules can cause you to be late on occasion and you are welcome to join when you arrive. Please take a few moments to warm up prior to joining the class, causing as little disruption as possible.

 

Cancellation Policy

Privates: You must provide a minimum 24 hours’ notice to cancel a private appointment or a charge will apply.

Group Classes: You must provide at least 5 hours’ notice or you will lose the credit for the class.

Cancellations can be done on-line, via email or by phone. Cancellations outside of the allowed time frame will result in a no-show booking and therefore not eligible to be made up. This is important so that all have opportunities to book classes and times that are available.

 

Makeup Classes

-If you have cancelled a group class, you are entitled to make up that class within the session of payment or within the expiry date within the cancellation time frame. For group seasonal classes, credit from missed classes cannot be carried forward to another session.

-Equipment/Apparatus: Clients cancelling an equipment/apparatus class may choose any equipment, mat/yoga class as their makeup class.

Mat/yoga: Clients cancelling a mat/yoga class may choose any mat/yoga class as their makeup class

-Please check the expiration date of your passes.

 

Syllabus Schedule and Instruction

Equipment/Apparatus classes may use Tower, Reformer and/or Chair. Our qualified Instructors will each teach contemporary exercises of the Pilates Method.  Instructors have a lesson plan each week with a different focus to promote week to week progressions. There will be some variances in content and delivery.

The schedule released prior to each session is subject to change at any time based on the needs of the business and in order to provide a range of classes for a wide cross section of the population. This may include cancelling classes, changing an Instructor or adding new items on occasion.

 

Privacy Policy

The personal information you provide is protected and will never be sold or traded for any purpose. All clients must sign a waiver prior to taking their first class. The waiver asks personal health questions. this information is strictly for the instructor to use when teaching to ensure the clients' needs and safety.

 

Safety

-Pilates is best performed in comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely without being too baggy so your instructor can watch alignment and form. Hair should be tied back to prevent it from being caught in equipment or impeding vision (no hard or sharp hair accessories that damage equipment please.). Grip socks are ideal or clean bare feet are best for safety and comfort. Creams and oils can cause slipping. To be conscious of sanitation you must cover any contagious conditions such as warts.

-Jewelry should not be worn during class or left unattended in the studio.

-Please listen to instruction during exercises and transitions.

-To avoid choking, please do not chew gum in the studio.

-As with any physical exercise, please consult with your doctor before starting any program. If you have any injuries, issues or limitations please record this when signing our waiver prior to your first session, continue to update us with any changes and speak with all your instructors about any specific concerns. You may be required to provide a doctor’s note. Listen to your body and stop if you feel pain, weakness, light headedness, or illness. Know your physical limitations and speak up. Our staff are not able to diagnose, please always consult a medical professional.

-It is important to notify our staff if you are pregnant so we may offer modifications and have permission from your doctor to exercise. If you are new to Pilates, it is not recommended you start any new program while expecting.

 

Payments

Payments are non-refundable or transferrable for any reason, including but not limited to vacation, illness and injury. When purchasing a seasonal pass/spot in a class for a session, please understand that it only applies for the session in which it was purchased. We cannot carry over a balance from session to session. We offer make-up classes within each session to ensure you are able to utilize your credit. 

Payments must be received in full prior to receiving instruction. Spots can only be secured in class once paid in full. NSF cheques will be charged $50
